The vacant position:

In the position of Market Manager Hydraulic Components (m/f/d), you will shape the product strategy and implement it successfully to achieve the defined corporate goals. Emphasis is placed on your in-depth market knowledge and commercial understanding. You will act as a central interface to internal and external stakeholders and contribute significantly to planning and execution across the entire product life cycle. You will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and product profitability. Your ability to think from the customer's perspective, to lead teams successfully, your business acumen and your analytical mindset characterize you and are decisive factors for success in this role.

Manager Hydraulic Components (m/w/d)

Main tasks:

• Value Proposition Management: You develop and align the value proposition for the products in line with the company's overarching goals and contribute to the continuous improvement of customer satisfaction.
• Product strategy and vision: You create a clear product vision and derive the product strategy from this. You will take commercial goals into account and implement corresponding product roadmaps.
• Collaboration and interface management: You will work closely with the engineering, sales, project management, marketing and customer service departments to ensure that all relevant requirements and targets are met.
• Product planning and execution: You will be responsible for the planning and execution of product strategies anticipating the respective product life cycle. The result will be a product roadmap communicated to the market reflecting key product requirements (PRD) which ensure differentiation.
• Market development and competitive analyses: You will continuously carry out market analyses and benchmarking to identify trends and react to changes in the market. You will comprehensively document customer and market requirements.
• Strategic collaboration: You will play an active role in developing the strategy for the AxM business unit and contribute to setting long-term goals and priorities.
• Market management: You act as the product expert for the portfolio and the market. You are responsible for further developing the portfolio and monitoring the competition.
• Business case development: You will develop business cases for new products and projects, including calculations of NPV, IRR and other relevant metrics to support informed investment decisions.
• Customer communication: You act as the central interface for all relevant stakeholders and ensure that communication with customers is efficient and targeted at all levels.
• Presentations and knowledge transfer: You create white papers, case studies and sales documents to present complex issues in an understandable way and to support internal communication and external presentations.
• Technical responsibility and leadership: You will act as a product expert at internal and external events and represent the interests of the product portfolio at conferences and in front of key stakeholders.

The ideal candidate

• Degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable technical, business or marketing-related degree program. An MBA is an advantage.
• Several years of experience in product and/or market management, ideally in the hydraulics sector or a similar technical industry. Sound knowledge of market dynamics and customer requirements.
• In-depth knowledge of portfolio management and the development of product strategies and roadmaps.
• Experience in preparing business cases (e.g. NPV, IRR, PI) and sound financial modelling skills.
• High level of expertise in market development, including analyses, benchmarking and documentation of customer and market requirements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to influence teams and stakeholders at various levels, even without direct disciplinary responsibility.
• Very good written and oral language skills in German and English; French or Spanish are an advantage.
• Confident handling of Microsoft Office 365 and relevant applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Forms, etc.).
• Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to act as an interface between customers and internal departments, representing the interests of all relevant stakeholders.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel internationally, combined with a proactive, hands-on approach to work.
